Free digital fonts and typefaces that we recommend you add to your available fonts collection, and backup to the cloud or an external hard drive. Many of these are a selected font (or two) as a sample from a larger commercial typeface package that allows an artist, foundry or marketing distribution point to introduce the font, use it, like it, and get the whole font family. You are encouraged to check the license of each font at the archive host download page, as I do not always remember to mention that a font can be used as a web font, and some licenses may be unclear on this unless updated since my visit.
All fonts listed here should be free to use for commercial and personal use without a fee of any kind. Some freeware fonts maybe listed here as well, only because we know the font is free, but no freeware license is cited or given. I do try to avoid the "demo" fonts that have reduced character sets, or are for personal use only (why would a designer dare ever put a 'personal use' font on his system to try it when if he doesn't delete it he could be well setting himself up for Copyright infringement should he later forget and use it in a commercial project?).
